Katie wrote the captions for the previous pictures. She is pretty descriptive.
We went to Bear Lake for a family reunion a few weeks ago. We rented a cabin that overlooked Bear Lake (as you can see from the family pic). It was a lot of fun staying in one cabin with the whole fam dam. Food was good, view was spectacular and the hot tub was nice even though I think a few family members had ideas to rename it Bare Lake...but I'm not mentioning any names...(Braydon).
We went swimming in Bear Lake a couple of times and had a good time. As you can see, the girls built sandcastles (with help from their cousins). The water was nice and only about chest deep for a couple of hundred yards out. Lily, the little cousin with sand across her eyes in the above pic, would take a piece of licorice and dip it in the sand then take a bite. Yum. Good news though, she was pooping pearls for the next 10 days. I didn't put any pictures of me in my swimming suit because that would be a violation of my contract with Hot Jerome-ites.com.
Last week we went to the open house for the new Twin Falls temple. It was nice. There are some interesting details in and around it. I think the girls enjoyed it but not Jaydon. He just wanted to swim in the baptismal font and be loud in the quiet rooms. Not to mention he was picking flowers like a mad man all around the temple.

Dad's Turn

Alright all you little blog reading slappies. It's my turn to write on the blog. The girls said they have already written something so it's up to me now to get it updated. Yikes.

Well, I just came back from ISU football camp. It was groovy. We took 45 kids down there and looked pretty good (at times). Minico scored a TD on their 1st play against us. Crap. We have a little ways to go. We held our own against the big dawgs. The weather was perfect and it was football all day and all night long. Yes, heaven on earth does exist.

I'm not sure how much the kids missed me while I was gone because they did a little bit of everything and had fun doing it. They went swimming (day and night), had sleepovers and ate enough Otter Pops to kill a small elephant. Tracy looked relieved when I came home because little Jaydie is so freakin' high maintenence. She was looking for to a little repreive from the rug rats. Pause and send the love to Tracy because she doesn't get much rest from us 4 kids. At least 3 of us can use the bathroom on our own (sometimes).

I'm gonna put a slew (sp) of pictures on here for your viewing pleasure. Please don't pass this URL to pedophiles or telemarketers (one in the same). The first picture is of Jaydon playing in the dirty water in the middle of the street. Nice parenting skills on my part.

This is another picture of the street monkey. As mentioned in other posts, Jaydon loves to go outside. He stands by the door until someone takes him outside. Now if we can just train him to poop outside we'll have a full blown pet.

This is Jaydie dominating an ice cream cone...

This is Katie after losing her 1st teeth...

Jaydon absolutely loves music. He starts doing a little jig anytime he hears some. He also loves listening to the headphones to get his groove on. One morning he was being a little grouch so I put the headphones on and he listened until he fell asleep. I never knew Metallica could be so soothing...

This last one is of Nykell being a dork on her track and field day.

If you're looking for pictures of me...sorry. None posted here. However, if you want to see my lastest photo shoot just go to bodybuilder.com. Click on the link that says "Hot For Teacher"...

It's finally getting warmer!

Since it's getting warmer, we've been able to go swimming a couple of times this week. I went swimming with my friend Tiffany while Katelyn has been playing with her friends. It has been a fun week.

One thing I have been doing this week is 4-H. For 4-H we are sewing pj bottoms, a pillow case, and a bag. I like it so far! My 4-H leader has 7 yorkies! Four of them are adults and three of them are puppies. They are so cute!

Another thing that I did is I went to my moms art class with her. We made wire sculptures and tissue paper collages. For the wire sculpture we made a dragonfly. For the tissue paper collages I made a flower and my mom made an ocean with a sailboat and a kite. I had soo much fun!

Jaydon was sick last week but is feeling better this week. He still LOVES going outside and has eaten 100 Otter Pops. He is starting to say more words like, book, more, puppy, and u-oh.

Katelyn has been just playing with her friends. She has been swimming a couple of times, too. She has read a lot of books and is excited to go to summer reading on Thursday mornings.

Summer Has Just Begun

After asking the kids several times what they wanted to do this summer, creating a blog was on the list every time. So, here we go. We will do our best to keep family and friends updated on what is going in the Gambles family. I told the kids that I would set it up and show them how to do it but that they are the ones who will be adding the new postings. It should be interesting to see what they want to share with you(truthfully I am a little worried).

Nykell has started her first babysitting job for a lady in our ward and really enjoys it. She has a two year old boy named Taylor (he is very cute). She likes earning her own money and thinks that she is saving up to buy herself a Wii or a laptop. We'll see how that goes. Nykell had a great fifth grade year. One of the last days of school they had a field day where she and her partner Kacie won first place in the three-legged race and her 4x4 team got second. Next year she will be going to Jerome middle school (scary). She is growing up sooo fast.

Katie has been playing with friends and reading a lot. I think she misses school already. She had a great first grade year (after we got rid of the ulcers and gave many needed pep talks). Everyday she plays school and makes out an agenda for her students. She will make a great teacher some day. I think that her favorite thing about being home is asking if we can go to McDonalds for lunch. They have been out of school for a week and she has asked to eat there about seven times (no lie). She is quite the girl.

Jaydon is finally walking and enjoys going from room to room as well as in circles (we don't know why). He is loving having the girls home during the day. He loves to play with them and can get them to do just about anything for him. Right now he is obsessed with going outside. He will stand at the door and cry until someone takes him out. A few of his favorite things are playing with the dog, eat dog food, walking into the street, and digging up flowers. He is such a boy.
