Trek

On June 9th-12th I got to go on Trek. It was so much fun. My ma was Heather Burnham and my pa was Byron Burnham. We had 12 kids in my "family" including me. 3 of my friends were in my "family" so it was fun and good. On Tuesday, we walked 7 miles, on Wednesday we walked 3 miles, on Thursday we walked 6 miles, and on Friday we walked 1 mile! That was 18 miles all together! The meals were really good and we had to cook it on the fire so that was a good experience learning how to cook our meals. I could feel the spirit there and it was so comforting to know that our Heavenly Father was watching over and protecting us. There was a really bad rain and storm cloud that was heading our way and then we prayed. A while later we saw that the cloud totally just moved around us. Right then and there you could feel the spirit with us. It rained really hard on Wednesday and Thursday so it was really muddy. Wherever we camped there was Stinging Nettle so we had to watch out for that. The only tent we had was for changing, other than that we had made a girls tent with tarp and a boys tent with tarp. On Wednesday we did a lot of activities that included milking a fake cow, stilts, sack races, Indian leg wreslting, stick wars, egg toss, bobbing for apples, sling shots, marbles, hatchet throws, cats cradle, and this game where you had to push a wheel with a stick. Later on that night we had a hoedown with Sister Tadyoka(Jerome Stakes president's wife) teaching us the dances. It was fun. Then on Thursday, after pushing and pulling the carts of course, we had some activities too. They was a game where you had to follow a string through a forest blindfolded, one where you had to lift each other through a maze to get to the other side, one where you had to get a a piece of wood for each person in your family and on extra piece for the entire family and you couldn't step on the grass only the wood and work together to get to the other side, and the last one was you to be blind folded and you hold on to the person in front of you shoulders and the pa was the only one who wasn't blindfolded and had to lead us through a little forest. That was fun until it started POURING!!!
Other than the rain I had an absolute blast! I am definitely doing this again in 4 years, and Katie will be able to go in 4 years, too! Here are some pics of me and my "family" on Trek. Top left: Pa, Shaun, James, Ma, and Kristen

Fun At The Park

On Friday we went to my grandma's house to go shoe shopping for my aunts wedding.
We all found the shoes we liked. On Saturday we went to the park for lunch with my cousins Dylan, Rylee, and Brooke. Here a few pictures of us playing.
