Trek

On June 9th-12th I got to go on Trek. It was so much fun. My ma was Heather Burnham and my pa was Byron Burnham. We had 12 kids in my "family" including me. 3 of my friends were in my "family" so it was fun and good. On Tuesday, we walked 7 miles, on Wednesday we walked 3 miles, on Thursday we walked 6 miles, and on Friday we walked 1 mile! That was 18 miles all together! The meals were really good and we had to cook it on the fire so that was a good experience learning how to cook our meals. I could feel the spirit there and it was so comforting to know that our Heavenly Father was watching over and protecting us. There was a really bad rain and storm cloud that was heading our way and then we prayed. A while later we saw that the cloud totally just moved around us. Right then and there you could feel the spirit with us. It rained really hard on Wednesday and Thursday so it was really muddy. Wherever we camped there was Stinging Nettle so we had to watch out for that. The only tent we had was for changing, other than that we had made a girls tent with tarp and a boys tent with tarp. On Wednesday we did a lot of activities that included milking a fake cow, stilts, sack races, Indian leg wreslting, stick wars, egg toss, bobbing for apples, sling shots, marbles, hatchet throws, cats cradle, and this game where you had to push a wheel with a stick. Later on that night we had a hoedown with Sister Tadyoka(Jerome Stakes president's wife) teaching us the dances. It was fun. Then on Thursday, after pushing and pulling the carts of course, we had some activities too. They was a game where you had to follow a string through a forest blindfolded, one where you had to lift each other through a maze to get to the other side, one where you had to get a a piece of wood for each person in your family and on extra piece for the entire family and you couldn't step on the grass only the wood and work together to get to the other side, and the last one was you to be blind folded and you hold on to the person in front of you shoulders and the pa was the only one who wasn't blindfolded and had to lead us through a little forest. That was fun until it started POURING!!!
Other than the rain I had an absolute blast! I am definitely doing this again in 4 years, and Katie will be able to go in 4 years, too! Here are some pics of me and my "family" on Trek. Top left: Pa, Shaun, James, Ma, and Kristen

Fun At The Park

On Friday we went to my grandma's house to go shoe shopping for my aunts wedding.
We all found the shoes we liked. On Saturday we went to the park for lunch with my cousins Dylan, Rylee, and Brooke. Here a few pictures of us playing.

State Track

This year State Track was in Boise, Idaho. Me, Katie, Mom, and Jaydon decided to go and planned a few fun things to do while we were there because we knew Jaydon couldn't sit and watch kids run for 2 whole days. So, on Thursday we went to the Boise Zoo and Chuck E. Cheese's on Friday. (FYI if you ever go to the zoo in Boise, go on Thursday bc its half off.) It is not as big as the Hogal Zoo, but is was pretty cool. It was raining the first 20 min. but we just got wet. :) We saw lions, tigers, bears, (oh my!), girrafes, monkeys, birds, etc. Here are are pictures from the zoo.

That night, after track, we went to our hotel. Our room was so big and it had a jaccuzi! Here is a pic of us in the jaccuzi. On Friday, we went to Chuck E. Cheese. That was pretty fun. The pizza was good. Jay loved to ride the rides and play the Skee Ball. We had a lot of fun and got a lot of tickets to get prizes at the end. Here are some pics.

Then, when we were done with Chuck E. Cheese, we went to watch the track finals. That was cool because they had a parade of athletes and it was fun to watch kids we know run. They all did a great job. Here are some pics of the parade of athletes.

Mother's Day

For Mother's Day we went to Shoshone Falls. It was so pretty! We had a picnic for lunch and took short hikes along the trails. Jaydon LOVED it! He liked the waterfall and the lizard he saw along the trail. It was also a really nice day. You could hear the falls a ways away! It was pretty loud and you could feel the mist. Here are some pics.

Christmas Fun!

For Christmas, as a surprise, we got to go to Disneyland and Sea World, both in sunny California. We woke up on Christmas morning and opened our presents and my mom made us wait to open one big present last. When we opened it there was a note that said that our family, on my mom's side, (including my grandparents, both of my aunts, my uncle, my aunt's boyfriend, Pat, my four cousins, and our little family) were going on a very lond trip to? We had to go on a scavenger hunt to find out.
As soon as we got to the end of the scavenger hunt, there was a box full of stuff that we could do on our way to that secret place. There was also another box that had a chicken on it, by the way Katelyn asked if we were going to a farm! When we opened the box Katelyn screamed because inside were passes to Disneylad and Sea World. We were soo exctied!
That was a LONG trip to California, it took 2 days!!
When we got to California we checked into our condos. They were REALLY nice. They were pretty big too, and we had a big balcony. We had a lot of fun using the condos. That night we went to the beach, oh my GOSH that was B-E-A-U-TIFUL! Here are some pictures.

The next day we went to Disneyland, it was so much bigger than I excpected. Some of my favorite rides in Disneyland are #1: Splash Mt. #2: Big Thunder Railroad #3: Matterhorn #4: Pirates of the Carribean and #5: Space Mt. Every night there was a Fantasmic, which was a water show and a firework show. That was pretty awesome too. Here are some pictures of us on all of our days at Disneyland.

This is Splash Mt.

Katie got to go dance in the High School Musical Parade

The day after our first day at Disneyland, we went to a place right next to Disneyland, California Adventure. That was totally fun. My favorite rides in Califoria Adventure are #1: California Screamin', DUH! #2: Soarin' Over California #3: GrizzlyBear River Run, I got SOAKED! #4: Tower of Terror, it wasn't as scary as i thought. #5: The Rocket. Here is a picture of our day in California Adventure.
After three days at Disneyland, we checked out of our condo and went to the beach again. Here are some more pictures.

After the beach, we checked into another condo closer to Sea World. We had three condos checked out, one for our little family, one for my cousin's little family, and one for our grandparents and my aunt, Kara, and Pat to share. So we had a party at my grandparents condo on New Years Eve.
On New Year's Day, we went to Sea World for the first time. That was SOO much fun seeing Shamu the Killer Whale, The dolphin Show, and the Clyde and Semmor show. Here are some pics of our first day at Sea World.

We went to Sea World for two days and I had an absolute BLAST at both Sea World and Disneyland.
We were all sooo sad to leave. It was soo sad! :( We all had so much fun though.
Thanks mom and dad. We will never forget this trip!
